Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you had an i3 with 4GB ram, wouldn't you just put Win7/10 on it?IF you want xp on todays enviroment. Atleast a core 2 duo is required. If you p4 still it is fine but no way to put xp sp3 on p2/p3. IF you want so go and try 2000/NT 4.0 or Old XP Sp1 . Vintage pcs are not having SSE2/3 instruction set which will not allow xp to use it most powerful tools like memory manager , direct hardware accelaration . Be Aware .
I recommend atleast a i3 with 4GB ram for XP to enjoy todays enviroment. Remember never put less than XP Sp2 with intel ahci driver & chipset accelarator component on any pc above than core 2 extreme.
