1. Office2019 is win 10 only
2. It willbe the last ever proper office version as ms moves to office 365 and monthly subscription. Its saas - software as a service.
3. As far as i can tell office 2016 will still fill 99% of your needs
4. Disable graphics acceleration and automatic open links for max speed

Windows Defender and internet can be ON, since they do not affect the installation.

P.S.: if moderators want, can clean up the above posts of mine regarding trying to solve this issue.

Thanks to the original poster, and also Didko. Was scratching my head for ages trying to figure this out. I was getting a black screen running the Convert-C2R.cmd and it never worked, then I saw your comment of moving to the installed directory, hey presto, blue screen, did its job. Also thanks for the heads up on OInstall.exe.

If anyone interested, I double checked I was running 2019 by starting a Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Click on the File tab in the ribbon. Then click Account. On the right, you should see an About button.

Sorry to double post, was to late to edit.

May I ask, I had 2016 installed and then installed this 2019 version and reactivated it. But for future reference, can 2019 be a fresh installation, or does it need a previously activated office to update?
