I tried to install this twice after thinking I've made a mistake on first time because it installs as 32 bit on my amd64 system! this never happened to me before. I even checked the files in usb to be clear and that EXTRA folder and files you talked about was there like powershell, and I couldnt open them obviously.

it also says SP2

im in middle of third try and still cant see what im doing wrong. help anyone? I'm stuck with my phone now

There has be so much said about XP x64 and actually nothing real great. It was as if it never was and you might google for more info but I would stay completely away from it..

Sounds like you got a pretty nice setup same as mine amd 64 and i would go for a win7 or even win 10m if you can handle it...Good Luck

XP x64 is not bad at all it is super solid but it got poor reputation as people want it on their silly old p4 / amd athlon pc those are not at all fully able to handle x64 . lol it is based on server2003 x64 which is considered as rival of linux . Even i ran some 7/8 vms in XP 64 but it ran smoothly with out heck . If you have modern hardware , plenty of ram , driver and good skills then XPx64 is overkill for most cases ,
