With Digital Power Station DPS technology, a user will experience added depth, clarity, bass definition, presence, and enhanced stereo field imaging via laptop or desktop computer. Video games, apps, music and movies, videos, VOIP and video conferencing software like Google Voice™, Skype™, and Face-time™; will all come to life through the computer is onboard speakers, external speakers or headphones. Just turn it on, and DPS will do the rest. The application dramatically enhances user audio experience by selecting output effects for headphones, built-in or desktop speakers and a large variety of equalizer presets.
Taking roughly about 10 MB of space on a hard disk drive and using little of system's resources, technical details are not something to worry about. Moreover, the user only needs to bring up the main window when need to change settings, being minimized to the system tray otherwise. Three major presets can be selected from the main window, depending on the output device. If a user is using headphones, selecting the homonymous option adjusts several frequencies to enhance the sound. Additionally, the same can be done for desktop speakers or an audio system, as well as for built-in speakers.
Previously mentioned output settings can be further combined to perfectly blend in with listening to music or watching a favorite movie. Accessing the preferences menu gives the user even more possibilities to enhance the sound. Bongiovi DPS Plugin is a handy application that indeed manages to enhance user audio experience. Available presets cleverly apply to various activities. It spends most of its time hidden in the system tray, and it is easy to use, making it worth a try.
General features:
- Transform TV speakers into a real stereo system. Home theatre PCs can connect directly to a TV via one HDMI cable. With DPS there is no need to add extra speakers;
- Understand friends and family clearly by processing conversations in real time with the DPS Plugin. DPS works with Skype and most other chat programs;
- Turn the volume down. Hear all of the detail without blasting user's ears. For those with hearing difficulty, DPS technology can improve clarity;
- Compensate for differences in volume between songs, during commercials or people speaking at different levels. It works for streaming radio, podcasts, and other online media sources;
- Increase Bass Response, especially for smaller speakers;
- Make own existing desktop speakers, laptop speakers or headphones sound like user spent big $$$ on the top-of-the-line models;
- Process backing tracks for user live electronically, DJ or band show with the DPS Plug-In.
V3D spatial audio for headphones:
When in Headphone listening mode, a user may now enable V3D audio processing. This effect moves the sound “outside of your head” for a more immersive experience for all audio sources (not just games). Moving the circles in the STEREO FIELD controls changed the V3D mode. This effect has been specially calibrated for profiles in the generic gaming category and custom gaming headset profiles. However, V3D may be enabled for all existing headphone profiles. When in Built-in or External speaker listening modes, the V3D controls operate as before using our Dynamic Stereo Enhancement algorithm for speakers:

- Redesigned profile selection user flow – You will notice the PROFILES and SETTINGS tabs have swapped places. Selection of audio profiles is now much easier by following the 3 step selection menus on the PROFILES tab
- We suggest playing music in the background when making your profile selection. When a user mouse-over the profile in the PROFILE menu, he will hear the sound of that profile and see a complete description on the pop-up window. After the user finds the preferred profile by clicking APPLY, he can save selection. A user can manage own profiles and output devices as before in the SETTINGS tab.
- Check out the new Gaming and Virtual Reality categories as well as the custom profiles for various popular gaming headsets on the market.
- Subscription Purchasing AND existing license keys – We decided to move to a subscription-based payment system because it is more flexible for our new customers and enables our continuing development of new features and profiles in the future. We will continue to honor our existing customers’ licenses.
- If you are an existing customer and wish to activate, enter your email into the email field and your license key into the password field. Click Activate. Bongiovi DPS will detect user license key and enable accordingly.
- If you are a new subscription customer, enter your email and the password you used to purchase your subscription. Click Activate. User subscription will be used to activate the software. If user subscription lapses, the Bongiovi DPS will return to the deactivated state.
- Virtual Subwoofer (VSUB) has been around as a feature of DPS audio processing for years. However, we have recently made changes to the algorithm to support the needs of smaller speakers. Examples of this feature for each listening mode may be found in the Bongiovi Acoustics category in the PROFILES tab.
- We have added a few new themes. Switching skins is now faster and does not require a restart in Windows.
- Version 2.2 was a big update, so we collected all of your feedback of 2.1 over the past year to incorporate into this version.
