My window 10 laptop was very slow. So I tried to reinstall windows 10. I cleaned the hard disk in CMD. Thank tried to create partition but I couldn't. It showed can't create partition because of cyclic redundancy error. I tried chdsk /f and all other options I could find on net. I also tried scannow.
I could there was error in hard disk with chkdsk. But I couldn't fix it with chkdsk /f. It said cannot write because it doesn't have write permission. So, I am considering the hard disk is corrupt because I did it multiple reinstall with same result.
Please help.
Thank you

Start ur windows 10 with command prompt. then try chkdsk /f /r command.
cyclic redundancy means there is some bad spot in your hdd. better take backup of your HDD and replace it with new one.

@Sachin Choubey i only hve one question...
"How old is that disk ?"

why i ask is that i had the same problem ... but in my case the hard drive was 15 years old ... So i needed to buy a new one and moved the files to that new drive.

i also notice that you allready have ask that question in another forum "Toms********"

Hello everyone!
I have repaired my hdd by using HDD Re-generator software. I purchased ssd and replaced with the faulty one. I also purchased a caddy to insert faulty hdd to system. Finally used the software to repair the hdd. Now I am using both disks.
Anyway thanks everyone!!!
