Home made receipes for data recovery work but success rate would depend totally on the corrupted sectors of your Harddisk where the data is actually stored.
There are number of softwares such as stellar, icare data recovery, easus etc which you can use & experiment & see what works for you..
You will need lot of patience.. As patience is virtue in case of data recovery as it takes time..
There are cases where these softwares do find data but when you restore you will find most of it as corrupted .. this is the result of the corrupted sections of the sectors on Hdd which you cant do anything until you are a Data recovery professional or specialist. Here comes their work...
If your data is very important i would suggest give this task to data recovery specialists.. they have a professional approach they replace the platter .. i mean start from chip level & will give you a quotation with a perfect success rate of how much can you data be recovered & yes you can trust on them..
Yes they are costly but so your data is so this is the best way to go for..
Always have multiple backups... thats the only thing you can do.. All the best here...!!!

The first post in two years since you are a member...never too late :)
If you use some recovery program, all files are returned by extensions, file001.002, etc.
Here you have a variety of recovery and testing software palettes, maybe you can restore the files with real names...try

ok @vikas_newports i read "2 months ago your HD went Corrupted and you installed a NEW windows 10 pro"
So when i read this then i know it is abouth your C:\
ok, when you have installed a new windows then you did : 1) make a new partition / used the partition that was allready there ???
2) when that is the case then why you need to recover this partition ??
because you gona blow up your fresh installation from the new windows …

My opinion is format that hd and start all over again with a clean fresh formated HD
because you will get more problems when you recover it .

Why don't you just restore the files and then rename them? That way at least you have the data.
