Duplicate Sweeper is an intuitive piece of software designed to automatically find duplicate files and delete them to declutter directories and free up some space on the disk. A regular window represents the interface with a clear-cut structure, where users can import as many directories as he wants to look into, by using either the tree view or drag-and-drop support.
Using Duplicate Sweeper's advanced search algorithm, files with the same content are quickly identified - even if they are named differently. The application search for duplicates in any folders on a user computer, and even in places like Google Drive, iCloud Drive, and OneDrive. Users can also preview their files using the handy viewer.
Before starting the scanning procedure, the user can also select common locations such as desktop, favorites, documents, pictures, music, and contacts. During this task, the user can view elapsed time and the total size of the identified duplicates. It may take a while to finish, depending on the size of the selected locations. The results window is pretty cluttered. It includes duplicate groups and file types, along with the full path for each item. It is possible to recycle selected duplicates, keep all the newest files, as well as open data chosen in Explorer. The search results can be saved to file, so the user can later pick up where he left off.
When it comes to program settings, the user can set the app to ignore large or small files (user-defined limit), as well as create an exclusion list with file types. Duplicate Sweeper has a good response time, although it takes a while to load some features. It finishes scan jobs in decent time while using low-to-moderate CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation. Thanks to its intuitive structure and options, Duplicate Sweeper can be used by anyone.

What is new in version 1.90 (Released on March 26, 2020):
- The official website does not provide any information about this release at the moment.
