Help Is Desperately Needed Please

Hi there.

I accidentally deleted stuff off from my 323 GB USB stick. I ran magic fat recovery software and was able to recover it.

I don't understand the extensions the files are in, there were a lot of programs on my USB stick. there's folders like:

the below is how it looks in a folder: (I used the software: Magic FAT Recovery 2.7 (Office Edition)

bitmap image (.bmp)
file PSD (.psd)
Icon (.ico)
JPEG Image (.jpg)
Microsoft Excel Worksheet (.xlsx)
Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation (.pptx)
Microsoft Word 97 - 2003 Document (.doc)
Microsoft Word Document (.docx)
PDF-XChange Viewer Document (.pdf)
PNG Image (.png)
Shockwave Flash Object (.swf)
VLC media file (.avi)
VLC media file (.mp3)

There's alot of programs on here. And I don't recall that I had large "movies" on my USB stick. Please tell me how can I fix this so that I can see my software again.

Untill any experts get back to you I will suggest you to try "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional". It saved my life! many times. Also i have list of other software which can recover specific type of files better but I will suggest them only after you are done with experts in this site. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional recovers pics excellently with name folders and subfolders.

I am afraid that usb can get damaged if used repeatedly for recovery that's why I am holding back. I only believe if we can help a person by proper knowledge then its better. If i make suggestion based on my personal trial and error rather then concrete work through I can make situation worse.

i recognize all of those extensions...what do you want to recover(a folder)....

recovery softwares are designed to recover certain file types(most of them i guess)they find all the files of a single file type and put all of them in one folder....same goes for all the recognized file extension by the softwar...
you need to be more specific on what you want to recover

Dear Mr.

Any software (commercial or free) for data retrieval can restore certain files (videos, music, documents, photos, specific logs, and files of various extensions). Do not hope to return any file where some software or installation is. There are specialized companies that do it but it is very expensive (1 MB - 1 $). Get strength and start from the beginning.

This Thread is being Locked.. I got lots more to say. Do not start something like this until I finish later..

OK Im ready to finish this.. The way you went off chat last night left my head spinning and lost for the right allowed things to say. Im never lost for words..

In chat you went round and round about 2 HDD's and how you transferred everything to the second drive but then you say the second drive isnt spinning.
How in the world or where in the universe did you even do the transfer backup to.. Then with out checking your backup you format the empty drive to install an OS.
Stop and THINK Sonny. Is all the HDD's got power and are they all recognized... 2 people gave you recovery software that are excellent but still might not recover 100%
Also if the backup drive isnt powered up how the devil is recovery software even supposed to work.. Find and Technician or a smart friend and get some help.. We can only
do so much and you made no sense.. Its your computer and you are there and we are here.. We dont have time for a full course in Computers 101..

Now again here you are.. Fine.. What is a 323gb usb... Never heard of such a thing. Is this a secwret new deal only you have??
So in less in a day you learned how to recover everything but u dont have a clue what stuff is... Its everything that was ever on that drive that wasnt gone or damaged..
You got it.. Now lastly you mention you dont know what all those are and want to know how to fix then. Stop this again trying fix when all you do is mistake and GOOGLE AND READ AND LEARN..

Example: Google>> .avi>> > File Type: Audio Video Interleave File.. So you got a file with audio and video so its a movie of some kind..
Google each file extension and you may just learn something handy. Thats all I got now and forever.. Good Luck always.

Staff leave this open now for 12 hrs or if the chit chat crap starts, Locked it and prefix Complete. Im done here. There is nothing more in my bag of tricks to give..
Remember to turnoff the lights also...lol..
