How Many People Have Regretted Switching To Windows 10?

Face it, Microsoft is the company people love to hate. No matter how good - or bad - the latest MS thing is, people will instantly bitch moan and scream at the slightest change that MS makes. They will make zero attempt to investigate, adapt, or God forbid actually learn something new... they really prefer to complain. It’s been in fashion to hate Microsoft since Win ME - or earlier.

It still is.

I’ve had many clients & friends rage at me that "Win 10 sucks", usually parroting some idiocy they’ve absorbed about "spying".

They show me that a Windows 10 upgrade or update changed the default program they use to open a certain filetype, or some other minor thing they can't figure out.

Here's the odd part... They always show me whatever Win 10 "broke" with a triumphant, gloating air - as if they have somehow proven Microsoft did something evil, and this gives them some weird sort of pleasure.

"See!? They broke it! Microsoft sucks!" "And now they spy on us too!!"

So… I fix their little issues, almost always in 30 seconds or less. Then I spend maybe 10 minutes showing them how and why Windows 10 is the best of Win 7 and 8 combined.

Then I patiently explain the difference between telemetry and spying, and casually mention that a few other names (that it's not quite as fashionable to hate) have also been collecting data - for a lot longer. Like Apple, Facebook and Google. For starters.

They always change their tune. Always.

Microsofts popularity crimpled when it started making Windows 10 and after rs4 and rs5 problems there popularity of going down skyrocketed and Windows 7 was one the best stable built ever Microsoft was so strong in taking down chrome because of its immense popularity and they just don't give that important to computer and laptop manufacturers just think when ever a new laptop model releases it comes with latest OS but if the OS itself a problem what will the manufacturers do they can't downgrade the OS on every new release and they won't even get support from Microsoft

Whoever wrote that piece is a smart guy/ girl. W10 is the best, I've been using it since day one. Yes, some tweaks are needed for privacy according to individual preferences, but ultimately it is better than all previous os released. I have one pc running W7 and it's awesome, but in the end W10 is my preference. Thanks @Astro :p

Agreed, I have really no regrets switching around OS's.

But with tweaks on these does really differences, no OS is best, but windows 10 still improving fast..well small packs.

And surely nothing is better than TeamOS from Clean to Slim, ETC.

Thanks to you overall without a single doubt!

I wonder how many of the people complaining about the spying actually read the terms of use where it states that by usng this os you give microcrap the permission to scan your computer for various software and usage of various programs to determine the various usages of said os and or other services on said computer.

this is why it took me so long.. yes Ive only been using win10 on my main pc for about 2 weeks as I had no other way to get it installed on my ssd after my upgrade (win7 wouldnt pick up the drive even with the latest drivers incorporated into the iso) also i was having other issues but thats besides the point.

im only using teamos versions, the latest gamer ed, as those have had stuff removed and added and tweaked.

Since I'm a kind of man who either uses activators to activate Windows 10 or get a free OEM license from new machine, all I can say is beggars can't be choosers, so I just accept how buggy and bloated windows 10 is.
I pity those who bought retail Windows 10 for like $100 or more, with current Windows 10 that takes and sells your data even if you say "no", Windows 10 should be priced free at all, just like Facebook and Android, considering they're doing the same thing.
To mine your data and making you pay for it, that's ultimate evil.
And if you don't believe they do steal our data, then why M$ seems don't give a damn right now about pirates as much as they did back in black-screen-WGA Windows XP era? They don't patch the loophole that allowed HWIDGEN get us valid "digital license" for free.
Well, for me, my only reason to use W10 is that it's the only Windows that can run on my machine (Ryzen 3 2200U laptop), and for now gaming in linux isn't perfect yet (I wish devs port all of their games to Linux to give a F U to M$, it's not like M$ pay them to make the games on their platform right?) UI-wise Windows 10 isn't that bad, but how they treated their consumers these days is just bad, I mean, clicking "check for updates" makes you a test subject? wth? Also their QA in recent updates, gosh it's not worth $100 at all.
My guess if you really wanna stay legit, better buy OEM licenses for Windows (yes it's sold on the market even though it's officially for manufacturers), you may not get the proper "support" as for the customers who pay for Retail license since OEM license means the manufacturer bears responsibility (which means you are the "manufacturer" since you're the one who buy it), but hey, it's not like they'll be that helpful when your machine run into problems, right?

I do have to update my last as I am using win10 now but the 'Windows 10 RS5 Final Remix Gamer Edition x64 en-us Nov2018' version as all the crap or most of the crap has been removed except for defender which was more than a mission to disable but ive managed to as well as turning off updates as those eff the system up as those that tried to install i think the last 3 updates.

i was forced to install it as my ssd wasnt being picked up by the windows 7 install disc even from the cd/ dvd thats the only reason i installed it and "so far" its working well. Only as im using the custom install. Windows 10 RS5 Final Remix Gamer Edition x64 en-us Nov2018

eever since i made the switch from win 10 to linux....it has been a road full of adventures and thrill at every step of the way....linux just like the infinite Universe gives you freedom to explore and create a world which you have control of almost everything if not all...so as i get to read news blogs about windows patches and breakdowns i laugh silly wondering how i ever survived that long on win without making the leap to the Open source world....

Personally,

Once unwanted programs, services and scripts delete, windows 10 is not so bad as that ;)

Just clean before connecting internet and it's all good ! : Lol:
