How to delete folder Windows.old after Windows 10 big update​

After big updates in Windows 10, you'll end up with another Windows folder (Windows.old 15-35GB) so you can return to old Windows installation if something goes wrong. If your Windows works OK after big update, you can delete it. How can you do that... here is how to!​

1. Press WIN key on your keyboard or click on the START button with your mouse. Start menu will open. Write on your keyboard - clean​

2. Click on the Disk Cleanup

3. Click OK button
​

​

4. Select all check boxes and then press button Clean up system files
​

​

​

5. Press OK button again​

​

​

...this could take some time

6. Select all check boxes again and click OK button

7. Delete Files​

​

8. This will take some time (thousand of files needs to be deleted). ​

i tried to do this via cmd with the force delete command but all i got was access denied will try this on my other laptop tomorrow nice one @Aphrodite

In my case i simply delete "Windows Old", in "C".
Then i do a did clean up on "C", to check of the Temp files.

A couple of days ago I just did it and removed 19.8 GB of crap files including old windows folder!

I did it yerdterday. It empties the folder windows.old but it's still there... I did everything without success. No files inside but can't remove the folders
