How to install OS in Vmware Workstation 14!

First you have to download Vmware Worstation:

If you want to learn more about Vmware Worstation:

Install Wmvare Workstation (WW for short) as any other application and start it. You have to create new virtual machine

If you want to install Linux or other OS, choose default option. For installing from DVD, load DVD and choose option: Installer disc

I will install Windows from image file .ISO from my HDD, go to Browse and find your image file

You can leave this name or give name to your virtual machine. You can also change location (where you want to place virtual machine) if you don't have enough free space on your system drive.

You can choose BIOS or UEFI

Here you can chose number of processors (if you have some multiprocessor beast) and number of cores for VM to use

I have quad core i5 and I'll give it 2 cores

You need to give VM some of your RAM, it depends on how much you have. I have 16GB so I'll give it 4GB

You can click on Next

I've clicked Next (Recommended)

Again Next (Recommended)

If you're creating VM for the first time, choose Create a new virtual disk, choose second option if you want to overvrite existing virtual disk

You have to choose how much of your HDD space you want to give to your VM (if you want to install OS just for testing 35-40GB is enough, but if you want to test applications, software, give it more).
I'll give it 50GB and I want it to be in a single file.

I'll live default name, click Next

fkggK.png

You can click Finish

Give it some time to allocate space on your HDD

After that, installation will start

Now you install OS you have chosen like in "real world" :)

Voila! That's it. You can use it just like "normal" Windows OS
