Do you have a $SysReset folder in the root of your Windows 10 installation drive? Are you curious to know what $SysReset folder is and how to safely delete $SysReset folder in Windows 10? In this guide, we will see what $SysReset folder is, and how to delete it safely.

The $SysReset gets created when you the System Reset fails for some reason. The $SysReset folder contains log files that might help you identify the reason for the failed system reset.

If you don’t want to investigate why a system reset job could not complete successfully, you can delete $SysReset folder. Since the Disk Cleanup tool doesn’t help you delete $SysReset folder, you need to delete the folder manually.

Follow the directions given below to view $SysReset folder and delete the same.

To view $SysReset folder in Windows 10 File Explorer
As pointed out earlier, $SysReset is a hidden folder. You need to configure the File Explorer to display protected operating system files and hidden files and folders to see the $SysReset folder.

Step 1: Open the root of your Windows 10 installation drive by clicking on the drive icon. That is, for instance, if your Windows 10 drive is “C,” please open the same.

Step 2: Click File and then click Options or Change folder and search options to open Folder Options dialog.
