How to upload torrents to TeamOS
(only verified members and above)

1. Create a new thread like usual and mark it as "Torrent" or "Torrent + Direct" if your posting direct links also...

2. Use this as Announce URL for your torrent: " " - without " "

3. For the purpose of this tutorial, I'll use Utorrent 2.2.1. , but any other client should have similar options...

4. In torrent client click "Create new torrent..."

5. Follow the next image to the letter:

Adding a file (the file you wish to make a torrent,

Adding tracker ( " " - without " "),
Check both "Start seeding" and "Private torrent",

Click "Create and save as..." - save anywhere you like

6. The client will show the following errors (this is normal for now)

7. At the bottom left of the thread click "Attach files" and add the .torrent file you've created

EyRoo.png

7a. If you have a thread that you have already created, at the bottom-left click "Edit" and then "Attach files"

EySVH.png

8. Click "Save"

Ey3aj.png

9. In your thread, a torrent should appear - Click to leech it (download your own torrent in your client)

Ey5AK.png

10. The client will warn you that you already have a torrent of the same name (remember the one with errors from step 6?)
Just click "Yes"

11. Click once on the torrent in the client (just to mark it) and then in the bottom right-click and remove the old tracker (the one without key)

N9o5e.png

12. If necessary, stop the torrent, "Update Tracker" & "Force Re-check", and start it again...

13. You are now seeding. Congratulations!

14. Be careful to keep the files available for seeding at least as several other members have downloaded it and started seeding! But you are the one... You should seed as long as possible!

Thanks for your efforts creating the tutorial, but I see no reason to tick "start seeding" when creating the .torrent file.

Your just adding more steps to the process than required.

Well, one more click won't kill... Did you warn Mr.Lonely about the same thing in the official Tutorial? ;)

It's not one more click. You then require the user to check for the torrent that doesn't include the private key and remove it. So it's basicly saying add it and remove what you just did straight after :)

Simple steps would be:

Create the .torrent in your client and make sure to include the site annoncment and tick private.

Save this .torrent to e.g. your desktop.

Create your thread in the appropriate section and add the .torrent file you just created to the attachment system.

Once the thread is created re-download the .torrent file from the attachments and add to your client.

How do I get verified? I have loads of Music software up to date like Ableton,Logic,Beatunes,Traktor etc for Win&Mac. All tested & clean.
Also using a Seedbox from now on.

Just added a thread with torrent... Tried your way - didn't work. Did it my way - works... Strange...

Enough of this back and forth. Thread and instructions are just fine. This ends here right? Great.

I was just offering help to a user nothing more. Will remember not to bother next time if it's a problem.

The same thing, basically... It depends on the SeedBox - some use Utorrent, some use Deluge, some use ruTorrent, etc. Just click create "New torrent" - depending on what GUI is used and follow the steps... The only difference is that you'll wait a little longer until the files are uploaded on your seedbox.

I use the one with ruTorrent:

there's no difference at all. ;)
In the first place, you created a torrent file upload to the site. But, even you created it you still need to download it and place it on your client for the torrent to work. ;)
And because your using seed box, you have to upload the file (file that is behind your torrent file created) on seed box.

@mkrleza one more thing bud, though recheck is still working. I suggest to execute what I've stated in colored text. ;)
