I Need Help Set Chrome As Web Browser

i need help i cant set google chrome as a default browser on windows 10 1803 32bit slim edition

i cant select anything

how to fix this issue

Go to setting from start Menu select System then click on Default apps left side indicates
then click on web browser There already will be Microsoft Edge you need to click on Microsoft Edge
Then Select Google Chrome
its Done Enjoy with your default browser google chrome.

Firstly, have you downloaded Chrome from their website?
Secondly when you install it, it asks you if you want to use it as default.

Have you done this?

So it is installed and you can use it? If so why ask? Or which browser is set as default in the meantime?

Also try...Open Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs.

Also try...Open Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs. <---find control panel NOT Settings button

Ok, first of all always use lookimg.com to host images here. As such, I edited your posts.
Second, this appears to be a OS problem, as you are using a 'lite' OS. I would suggest using the full OS, as there are no problems like that.

This cannot be done on Lite editions, same for me. you need to find other ways.

Try setting default by file type..use html. If it doesn't work,get a FULL version of Windows,or Linux.

The problem can be fixed (temporarily) by restarting the CryptSvc service from task manager. To check if you need the registry repair, you can watch your CryptSvc CPU usage.Check Task Manager> Services, find CryptSvc, right click, go Details, check CPU.
CryptSvc runs as an svchost task with a matching Details PID that shows the CPU usage (available from Details). Any sustained CPU usage is high. It runs briefly at Windows startup and then briefly as needed - it's normally quiet.

this is a bit off topic but i ran across where y can't set windows photo viewer as default. every time i click a image i get asked what app i want to use even though i previously choose photo viewer and checked the box. everything else i set the default program for stays what i chose. i'm just wondering if the op's and my problems are related.
