Couple of questions:

1) can we avoid the nagging "unable to contact license server" message or should we ignore it?

2) I have the "windows firewall control" program installed. Should I allow any malwarebytes components go through the "windows firewall control" or doesn't make any difference?

2) the author of this trick did not mention anything about having to block with the firewall, if everything works well leave it at that.

Is this normal?

It is a false positive, if you look at the VirusTotal report you will see that 4 AV detect malware.
In fact, this type of Medicines / Medicines is malware for AVs since they break the licensing system of legal software so you can use it without paying anything.

A few days later, premium is lost as it reverts to Free

If you have the normal Windows host, that is, with read-write activated, you have allowed the proxy to work in your firewall, the truth is that it cannot happen on your side.
I use MB Corporate, I shared this trick for those who like the premium version.

license from malwarebytes does not open in .cmd, but does close briefly and immediately closes .cmd immediately, and I do as explained on teamos

Thanks Dude. I'm assuming it won't update for the latest virus definitions since the hosts file gets patched, correct?

Malwarebytes always offered standalone Definition updates for offline systems.. Just download the lates definition update and you are good to go.. Google it..

The process works only temporarily. Once you do a scan or reboot, MAB goes back to the 14-day trial notice.

You need to right click on the file and then select "Run as Administrator" to elevate the file to access system privileges.

Not able to run LicenseMalwareBytes.exe even when privilege level is checked for the program to run as an administrator. Once the cmd is up, it stated "Please run this program as an administrator" Running on Windows 7 currently. Anybody have any idea for it?

It is rare that you run CMD as an administrator and ask you for administrator permissions to run the executable.
Anyway try the runas command.
Syntax: runas /user:[privileged user] [executable file location]

Suppose that users with administrator privileges on your PC is "administrator", and the location of executable file is "C:/MB/LicenseMalwareBytes.exe", the command to execute would be:

runas /user:administrator C:/MB/LicenseMalwareBytes.exe
