Hi Guys, not sure if this question has been asked before, but how stable are these modded Win 10's? I'm asking because I've been able to mod Win 98 and Win XP, with some software programs and Internet research. Usually with a good degree of success, but when it came to Win 7 and beyond I've had several issues, often when it came to installing software, like Photoshop and VMWare. The programs would install, but then give error messages when trying to run them, or just crash.

I've been trying various flavours of Linux with limited success. Biggest problem being that programs that work in Windows ok, the supposed Linux version give error messages. Which are often not solvable, short of rewriting parts of the Linux OS. I've tried the default Win 10 a few times, but end up going back to Win 7. Too much bloat and IMHO too many "gimmicks" which I don't want or need.

For me personally the OS should run the PC hardware etc, and leave the end user to decide what extras they want to install.

Any useful advice would be appreciated.

All modded OS are different depending what has been removed. Browse the forum and do some reading. Then make a decision what is best for you and will suit your needs. Thread completed.
