OS: Windows Seven Black 26 Ultimate 64bit by KIRK
After "Windows Update," I lose the customizations and/or skins for desktop icons, boot screen, taskbar and start menu, start menu button, and window frames. Only parts of the theme (and skins) remain and parts revert back to Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I've located, pulled, and filed on my 2nd HDD most (not all) of the desktop icons. I saved a copy of the boot screen with "Win7BootUpdater2." I have not been able to locate a copy of the start button. I've tried to locate online and within Windows Seven Black 26 Ultimate OS .dll files to save the customizations and/or skins. Apologies, but I don't have the patients to load updates one at a time to locate the particular update or group of updates responsible for the changes. I've also tried to reinstall the theme after the update without success.
Does anyone have a workaround? Is it possible to update the OS and then apply the theme and/or skins?
