Hello! All of my PCs have been built my me. The one I linked is built primarily of Gigabyte parts (i.e. Motherboard, GPUs) I have four 8GB sticks of Patriot Viper DDR3 running at their stock speed of 1600Mhz. If I run only two sticks, I can bump up the speed to 1833Mhz, and even higher if I want to manually OC, but I choose to leave well enough alone. The Ram was purchased at ***egg. (Not sure if I can reference the entire name in this forum). This motherboard is a bit of an oddity for the CPU generation it supports (AM3+), as it has an on-board NVMe socket. Because of the PCI lane restrctions, my NVMe SSD is only utilizing 2 PCI lanes (although the drive supports 4). All this means is that my read / write speeds are approximately half of what they could be if the drive was mounted in a Gen3 x4 slot. This rig can still read /write at 1.5GB/sec , and 1.2GB/sec - respectively. That is approximately 3 times faster than a standard SSD connected to a SATA3 port. Not bad for an almost ten year old platform, running outside of a RAID array. I'm happy with it.Whaou..... Is there 32 Go PC on sale in the market or you've add more RAMs. Can you give me the name of your PC or a website where I can get the price. You confirm to have three storages.
You don't have to feel bad. I was way worse when I was young. I used to build the best and newest pc's every 3-6 months and just sell my old parts for half so that the new one didn't kill my pocket so bad. I'm about to sell my pc I just built about a year ago and upgrade to the newest AMD 32 core Threadripper and 128gig of ram and the best AMD graphics card. Just waiting for a new AMD Graphics to come out .I have two machines at home... one is upstairs so when my wife watches TV I can do computer stuff, and this one is downstairs, so I can sit with her while she's studying or watching TV
This one is a threadripper 2950 and the one upstairs is a 8700k i think from memory? but this one was meant to be my main machine...
I don't feel good about posting specs because Im older and more established in life, so I feel bad because the stuff I just upgraded and usually throw out is far better than most of the machines listed here...
How about the new one that will be done Tuesday?
