This is missing one of the best steps, if you're one that ever gets the "Disk Overloaded 100%" message -- you need to take advantage of "Sparse files" by 1.) running uTorrent as Administrator, 2.) setting use Sparse files to true in Advanced Settings, 3.) disable "pre-allocate files".

Sparse files are a much smarter, newer way in NTFS filesystem of accessing large files on disk. Ever since I've done this, I have not *once* gotten the "Disk Overloaded" message anymore. And I used to get it all the time, anytime I'd add a large torrent or multiple smaller sized ones.

Thanks, huge help

Please indicate how to use the torrents we have already downloaded, so we may begin seeding again. After a new OS, we would need to reinstall uTorrent, without downloading again, how to seed the torrents previously obtained?

You need to copy torrent files (.torrent) and downloaded files (software) to the relevant folders that you are previously set up inside options in microTorrent. So, you will have 2 folders, the first one for the torrent files and another one for the downloaded applications. After that just run torrents and you should see how microTorrent checking if the content is the same as content uploaded by the author. Depending on the size of the torrent it will take some time to check it all and after that, your torrents will start automatically seeding...

I tried these with only marginal results. It there anything additional that may be reducing my upload speed?

Such as my router, os OS configuration? I have business class internet, so I doubt that is the issue.

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated

Lot of things can be affecting your speed. your firewall might be blocking peers, also depends on the person connected to you and where they are from. so on and so on,

Currently I am using an OS from here and Defender is completely disabled.

But, if there were a firewall (there will be soon), how does one check if it's obstruction the uploading...please explain

Thanks

This isnt the place for that, I would suggest google, firewall can be also in your router or modem, for example my ISPs modem has a dumb firewall I had to completele disable to get any kind of speed as it was blocking at least half of incoming peers :)
