Hi
I wanted to ask something. I am currently using windows 10 (1703.15063.674) which is the last one of 1703. I downloaded the 1709 and clean installed it but it was horrible experience. There was nothing wrong with team OS release, but the version which Microsoft released, was with such glitches which i couldn't stand with. I immediately reverted to 1703 (with clean install). This time i made some changes to advanced settings in updates and delayed the feature updates to 180 days and no delay for quality updates.
I have a few questions:
1. With delayed feature updates and no delay for quality updates, will i be getting security updates? As i know that the new build version is released for the latest builds and all the patches are for it. Does Microsoft also release security updates for previous versions as well? I mean if a person wants to stay at a lower build number and doesn't want to go further, what about it?
2. What is the difference between current branch and current branch for business? The details written in windows is very confusing and Google search made me a bit more confused as they also don't have this knowledge even (i guess).

I hope someone can answer this.

if i remember right, a tool called DWS - Destroy Windows Spying has option to cancel windows update. there is a script in some windows "distributions" here to block windows update. maybe someone else here could help you more.

If you don't want updates, try this. Or what @Apache mentioned.

to be blunt then personally i'd stay off the net. when you don't keep your os updated you not only jeopardize your systems security, but the safety of everyone you deal with online. as for new features microsoft has added a lot. as for business aka enterprise don't bother, cause pro is really what you want.

I guess that masses of people have learned to live with glitches. It's what everything around us is, and nothing is perfect. You pick up any OS in the world, it has glitches but the one with least is no more preferred. People no more demand perfection. People no more want the things to work smoothly. Microsoft pushed their unbaked OS to world and world embraced it. I will soon compile a list of problems which i encountered with win 10 so far since i started using win 10. Microsoft never could make it good. They were so obsessed with the idea of "windows as service" that they forgot that they have to make solid foundations of an OS and then proceed with the philosophy.
Microsoft also pushed weird aesthetics with final builds and no one complaints about them if someone doesn't like it. They are also obsessed with the idea that their windows is new. Just for instance, the button size in action center was reduced and borders were made around them in 1709 while it was very thin borders in 1703. We have come a long way from windows borders to being borderless or atleast 1px border. No one complained about it. I was servery turned off by it. They are just pushing the stupid things out on public and public is under the effect of LSD i think, they embrace it. Another such example is, Microsoft move the icon and text placement to middle in tile view mode in Explorer. This effects the text readability. I have majority of my icons set in tile mode throughout my folders and the text which was readable before is now cut from the end. There is a blank space in the left side before the icons start. Didn't anyone observe this or was everyone blind? I was again severely turned off with this.
I wonder, that a consumer product company whose product consumers use and they accept in whatever they feed you. No one complains, or no one bothers with the looks of the thing they use. Microsoft could never solve the very basic issues with windows 10. Some of very basic issues are still present which should have been addressed a long time ago or even should have been removed before the release of windows to public. They are still there. Like for example, the tiles in start menu stop their "live tile" function every now and then and there is a whole separate section of troubleshooting in settings panel. And also there is something more, when you pin the tiles to start menu, sometimes they pin and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they disappear, or sometimes they change their places. Sometimes, some settings stop working, like for example, hiding the apps on the left section, resizing the start menu etc. These are the very basic issues which should have been removed a huge long time ago. If you want to see the proof of these things, search with these queries, you will come across thousands of forums filled with how to deal with those shits which Microsoft gave them to you for FREE.
Now people just don't come to PC for work, they come first to solve the windows issues by going to forums and read Google searches and solve then and THEN work.

@AwaixJvd i'm glad @The Rain unlocked your thread cause i now can tell you personally i believe you created this thread just to troll and spam the forums. now with that said i have been running @The Rain's win 10 os's for a good while now and have never had a complaint with them. i am currently running his 16299.19 and can tell you it IS stable and solid. @The Rain and others work very hard to being new updated os's to the members here and post like your last one is a direct slap in their faces. i personally suggest if you can't be constructive then don't post.

if i understand you well, you don't have better things to do so you are just b.....ng about everything... i, for example use windows (10) as platform - to do other things... use photoshop, word, excel, etc. i don't have time to measure pixels here and there - i don't like everything micro$oft is doing with their OS, but you can always use alternatives: linux, macos, bsd even DOS... better, use Windows XP - you won't have problems with updates :)
