its not about drivers after installation . the problem the windows 7 does not know how to deal with new chipsets and usb controllers so you cant go on with installation progress

sounds like the install froze not the mouse and keyboard. try a diffrent usb port for the install. also get the latest windows 7 release.

another option is using another mouse and keyboard. you can buy keyboards and mouses that run from 1 usb dongle. they are plug and play.

whatever keyboard and mouse your using the pc is not picking it up. its the keyboard and mouse not anything else. pcs usually auto detect mouse and keyboard.

get a windows 7 compatible mouse and keyboard. probably find out its a mac keyboard on a windows machine

if that's the reason, go with windows 10

I am having the opposite issue, I have a Supermicro MOBO that isn't supported for windows 10. I have found that if you are having chipset problems, you can usually go to the manufacturer of the chip and more often than not they can furnish you with a solution. Windows 10 can run programs using windows 7 parameters. The people that are telling you it is a driver problem are probably right, it is just finding windows 7 drivers for the chipsets that are on your MOBO. If no one makes them, Then you are out of luck, one last thought, Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows server are more like win 7 than the other windows 10 programs. That, at least, is what I have found on google about the win 7 win 10 compatibility issue, good luck.
Brian
P.S. There can also be BIOS settings that can help, especially with mouse and keyboard issues. Google it, or ask computer or chip manufacturer.
