Thanks for the download...

After a few days, Avast automatically changes to Avast Free - time to search for another AV.

Block it with Firewall and try again perhaps it has Internet Access.

Let me try, I'll block all outgoing Avast connections - there are plenty - and then allow only the connection to update the virus database. Not being able to update the AV database defeats the object of using an AV.

I'll update this thread after 10 or so days, if the registration lasts that long, then we are good to go.

Let's hope it will work maybe yes maybe not i didn't promise it was only a suggestion.
I had enough times the same problem and the blocking helped. But they where not antivirus.
