I will keep it short and within context... Nothing fancy..
I have been using Linux/Unix for quite a long time now, and I use FF as my browser. Now in YT, I cannot download a file just like that, and when I use "Enhancer for YT
", it does not allow downloading 720, due to Alphabet restrictions, though it does LOAD in cache/streaming queue all the formats available. So an easy way to download say 720 files without the need of any external application, even say "Down-Them-All", and if one is not a techie jeez, then just follow these few steps to download.
Install extension:
Enhancer for you-tube.
N.B.: YouTube switched to separate audio/video streaming technology for higher quality formats and no longer provides direct 720p (Since 24 September 2018)/1080p/mp3 streams. Converting these streams to downloadable formats for you needs powerful server infrastructure, therefore 1080p/mp3 downloading has been limited to PRO users. Read more at -
. FREE users can download all formats in CACHE where some PRO users fetched the video/audio in past 24 hours, to test the feature you can try downloading popular videos.[/B]
Then set it up as per your need, or you can even get on with as how it is, no need to make any changes to the setting as well.
Next, navigate to your video, say:
, play the video (optional), and then scroll a bit down to descriptional place (see the image):
Now there are 2 ways to download it.
1. Directly by clicking the file format, say 720P/MP4 here
2. By right-clicking the same (720P/MP4 place) and click on "save link as" and save it wherever you wish, with your preferred name for the file.
That is all. I know this maybe something everyone knows, but I still thought of sharing, since I have been using this for almost a year now, and find it the easiest way around.
