Are you using a lite or compact OS? That could be the problem.
Try re-installing the app.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I'm not using a lite OS: it's a full Win10 Pro freshly installed less than a month ago.
As for the issue, this is very strange because I installed the application yesterday and it worked fine for hours. Then when I tried opening it this morning I would get the dll error. I tried completely uninstalling it with Revo and installing it again but this time I'd get the error straight away.
Since the error is not about a missing dll but "loading the dll" I'm a bit confused: that dll is in the application installation folder and if I try replacing it with one downloaded from one of the sites suggested when I google the issue, the program complains that wants THAT specific version. I also tried copying that dll into Windows system32 folder but still the same so I'm really out of options.
