Most of the settings you'll want to change in Windows 10 are in Settings. Settings is organized into the following separate categories:
1. System
2. Devices
3. Network & Internet
4. Personalization
5. Apps
6. Accounts
7. Time & language
8. Gaming
9. Ease of Access
10. Privacy
11. Update & Security
Each with their own page of settings. You can click/tap on a category to view and change more settings for that category.
This will show you how to create a Settings shortcut that you can use anywhere in Windows 10. Let's get started:
1. Right click or press and hold on an empty area on your desktop, and click/tap on New and Shortcut.
2. Copy and paste the location below into the location area, and click/tap on Next.
explorer ms-settings:
3. Type Settings for the name, and click/tap on the Finish button.
NOTE: You could name this shortcut anything you would like though.
4. Right click or press and hold on the new Settings shortcut on your desktop, and click/tap on Properties.
5. Click/tap on the Shortcut tab, then click/tap on the Change Icon button.
6. In the line under "Look for icons in this file", copy and paste the location below and press Enter.
%windir%\System32\shell32.dll
7. Select an icon (which will then be highlighted in blue) , and click/tap on OK.
NOTE: You can use any icon that you would like .
8. Click/tap on OK.
9. You can Pin to Taskbar, Pin to Start, add to All apps, add to Quick Launch, assign a keyboard shortcut to, or move this shortcut to where you like for easy use.
I myself am using this convenient little shortcut on all of my family's desktops and laptops and really like it.
Enjoy
