Locked how to update windows 8.1 pro at once ?

I have a laptop running windows 8.1 pro and I haven't run windows updates on it since 2-3 years. I wish to update it now (windows updates) I know it will take loads of time, is there a way or utility that will make things easy like downloading all updates and installing them at one reboot, installing only selective updates and not the crap ?

backing up files would be time consuming for me

can tools like wsus or offline updates be used ?

Yes, they are @unirockers if you have D drive just transfer all important stuff there and to complete reinstall it's faster then wait for all updates to finish, no matter what way you are installing them.
