Lenovo Laptop Screen Just Turned Pink

Sseasons greetings and happy new year fam,

I have an issue with my laptop's display as half of the screen is normal and the bottom half is in a pinkish/purple colour. I was watching a movie and out of the blue, the screen turned into that. I tried several options like touching the corners of the screen and ran my fingers across as some Youtube users suggested but nothing helps. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

This will sound strange, run hard drive sentinal and check your drive, this laptop I am on freaked out with lines and colors and it was a bad sector on the ssd.

most likely it means HW issue with the GPU or the screen.
Do you have a monitor and HDMI cable?
What if you project the screen to another display thru HDMI? If that's good, most likely GPU is good and laptop screen has gone bad.

I agree with ki_2004 but I have also had some luck reseating the LCD panel plug....

hope this will help you find your problem ::
1..plug in external monitor and check if that works ok ( if so gpu is not the problem)
2....there is a flat cable that runs from mother board to the sceen in the lid sometimes
it can work lose over time and reseating it can fix a problem like you discribe
3..if that dont work the cable to screen can break down over time were the laptop is open and closed
the flat cable normally is routed through the hinge along with other cables like (cam ,wifi antenna cable)
the flat cable will need testing and replaced if faulty
4..the only thing then is the screen
i have never needed to replace a screen for the problem you have but you never know there is always a first

and its a cheap fix

the problem is probably in the flat cable

Maybe the flex cable or screen. As said above I'm just repeating, try separate monitor and see...!

lenovo brand huh... not good quality build for that brand... my technician friend always got lenovo brand to fixed it...
