The program NV Updater is used to update the driver for Geforce graphics cards from Nvidia. This does not require an account with NVIDIA and the additional Geforce Experience tool is not included.
NV Updater runs in the background and checks at a specified interval to see if an update is available for the NVIDIA driver. If an update is available for the driver of the video card, a hint window appears. It is possible to display the changelog of the new driver or to ignore the offered version. Furthermore, NV Updater offers some slimmung functions, which means that it is possible to remove individual components from the driver. This allows you to install your own package that is tailored to your personal needs.
In addition, it is possible to create log files to understand what happened in the background and to support better debugging.
NV Updater has its own update system to update the program itself to the latest version. In the future, more features will be added to the program, it will be possible to adapt the driver package even further according to your wishes. Of course, it is also possible to switch off this update system, it can then be easily updated manually. All settings are preserved.
NV Updater does not collect data from your PC and therefore respects your privacy.
