Sejda PDF Desktop is a pleasant and productive PDF software that users will love to use. The modern-looking and smooth-running, Electron-based application performs an impressively broad range of PDF tasks on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Sejda PDF Desktop is one such comprehensive PDF suite that aims to be the user's go-to solution when it comes to managing PDFs. Like other suites of its kind, it packs tons of useful PDF tools that make it as simple as possible for a user to merge, split, compress, edit, and even convert its PDF files to a wide array of both documents, and image formats.
Itis quite smooth-running and modern-looking, with a clear-cut and well-organized layout. Just like other PDF suites, the main window encompasses all the features, without making use of ribbon-toolbars or different menus of this sort. The app's tools are neatly grouped into four main, self-explanatory sections, SPLIT, MERGE, OFFICE & PDF, and EDIT & CONVERT.
Just by quickly glancing at the provided list, the user can see that Sejda PDF Desktop has almost all bases covered pretty well. Users can do everything from extracting PDF pages, splitting documents in half, or by size and text, converting PDFs to Office-related formats (like Word and Excel), and JPG, all the way up to rotating, compressing, cropping them.
Besides, users can add headers and footers, protect PDFs, as well as quickly extract texts. Each tool has its bespoke menu and extra-little-options that allow users to thoroughly and accurately process PDF according to user needs. Within the General Settings section, easily accessible from the hamburger-like drop-down menu (upper left side), the user can select the output folder for processed PDFs and choose from a small list of overwrite-related scenarios.
Sejda PDF Desktop feels like a very well-built PDF suite, and even though some of its features are still in various early development stages, it is entirely usable.
- Merge files into one PDF - Visually combine and reorder pages, merge multiple PDF files. Alternate and mix odd and even page files;
- Split PDF documents by pages - Extract separate documents. Split by size, bookmarks, or text occurrences. Divide two-page layout scans;
- Convert PDF files to Office and image formats - Convert images to PDF file;
- Compress PDF - Reduce the size of PDF files and optimize images and resources;
- Add, edit or move text in PDF files - Change the font type, size, and style. Insert, reorder, move or delete pages;
- Apply for PDF passwords and permissions - Add copy and edit protection to a PDF. Include a password to protect PDF from unapproved access;
- Watermark PDF - Add image or text watermark to PDF documents;
- Grayscale PDF - Convert PDF text and images to grayscale;
- Crop PDF - Trim PDF margins, adjust visible page area, change PDF page size.
