Currently, there is no known way of breaking BitLocker by brute force. If you are the one who created the Bitlocker Drive, you can use the 48 Digit Recovery key that was given to you upon creation or if you linked it to your MS account, the key might be there. If you are not the owner or haven't stored the key/linked the key to your MS account, just give up and do what Mac said. In the case of windows 11, if Bitlocker is linked with the TPM + PIn/usb... it can't even be brute-forced.

If you still want to try tho, some windows PE like strelec or hiren have tools inside to try to brute-force a BitLocker drive. Have a go at it.

Lost?
I don't think so....
Decryption key was sent to your / somebody else's microsoft account.
So check it before wiping out your entire disc...

Sadly not always, when one creates the Bitlocker drive, they are asked what to do with the recovery key, and an MS account is one option and not always the case.

Things can get even worse if the computer is part of an active directory since it will need to be connected to that network in order to unlock the drive...

There are no other ways to regain access if you don't have recovery key other than a Clean Install
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/finding-your-bitlocker-recovery-key-in-windows-6b71ad27-0b89-ea08-f143-056f5ab347d6

- If you accidentally updated your firmware version before disabling Bitlocker, try resetting or rollback it first

- If the PC is a member of a domain, the recovery password can be backed up to AD DS.
