Locked Windows 10 Light version

Im from India where it's normal for users to use laptops for 10 to 12 years until they die out. Many of the laptops I see are above 8 years old and users dont want to spend to upgrade to SSD and increase RAM to 8 GB.
Windows 8.1 is nearing end of life
So Im considering installing Windows 10 light on older laptops with hard disks and 4GB of RAM
Which version of Windows 10 light is widely used and regularly updated?

There is no version of Windows "light" that is updated regularly, you have to search, try the most updated or see a version that allows updates (not all allow it).
