@Victor24 , Relief. Did a System Recovery. performed full clean install with this version .630 then had a successful clean install of a full 20H2 (OS Build 19042.685) whew!

just next time, update your OS using the windows update. My build is capable of doing it. if you want the fastest way, download the update in window update catalog and convert the cab file to exe then run it. That is called updating live OS.

It wouldn't update with the standalone .mui file or the cab file from the Windows Catalog. Various error codes similar to 0x80070002d and others. Exhausted all avenues from sfc /scannow, DISM, Troubleshooters, Resetting Servces.msc to default ,Safe Mode with Networking, and even chkdsk with switches /f and /r respectively and updating all drivers. This was the only final solution
given by the MS Tech Support. Thank you for your suggestion though. And your suggestion was the very first step we took but at least we learned some more techie stuff for future reference
