It’s possible but a pain in the butt to do, not really worth it.I can't flash this to USB anymore, rufus (doesn't matter which version) says either I'm trying to flash a non-bootable image or uses a boot or compression method that is not supported. But the OP says to flash with Rufus. Any clue how I can get this working?
How do I install this version of Win98 on a computer that is old enough to support it?? I have an old tape drive that has software compatible with windows 95, so I'm trying to install win 98 on an old computer. It’s possible but a pain in the butt to do, not really worth it.
MattKC on YouTube has a wonderful tutorial on putting windows 98 on a laptop and in that video he talks about how to create a windows 98 install USB, highly recommend that tutorial
I've never worked with tape drives, personally. How do I install this version of Win98 on a computer that is old enough to support it?? I have an old tape drive that has software compatible with windows 95, so I'm trying to install win 98 on an old computer.
I literally can't believe how hard it is to install a 23 year old OS. On original hardware...I've never worked with tape drives, personally.
But AFAIK Win32DiskImager might allow you to flash the image to it, although I doubt it.
P.S. Also sorry, I was going to respond to this sooner but you know how life gets sometimes, heh.
