Adobe catches this as an unlicensed application, even after clearing all old traces of photoshop with IOBit Uninstaller. Must be something im doing wrong or need to remove. Other releases have worked fine for me so thanks.

Try adding these two lines to your hosts file

0.0.0.0 genuine.adobe.com
0.0.0.0 assets.adobedtm.com

You might need to completely uninstall and reinstall to get it working.

Well, this is mystifying. I did add the two lines to my host file, but installation stops at 81% with error code 160 - unable to write to the registry. I followed the Adobe troubleshooter instructions for editing permissions in the registry but the PS program doesn't appear in the registry to edit. Then I removed the two lines from the host files and installed again—failed with the same error. So I tried to install version 2022 and received the same failure. It's probably something to do with my machine but darned if I know where to look.

Well, this is mystifying. I did add the two lines to my host file, but installation stops at 81% with error code 160 - unable to write to the registry. Thanks, Chuck. I added all the lines to the hosts file and now it (v24.0.0.59) works , including neural filters. I really appreciate your help. I couldn't get v24.1.1.238 to install.

Works great, thanks for the up. A quick question - would this work with the legit free version of bridge that can be downloaded from adobe? I don't want to risk ruining the install and I have a feeling they might not work together.

This may have resolved it (so far). If anything changes, I'll let you know. I already had many, many adobe lines in my hosts file, but these two weren't there. Here's what I had before when it found it was not genuine:
