Any to Icon is a straightforward application created to help user professionally convert popular image formats and design regular Windows toolbar icon sets. With support for a wide array of photo formats, it converts BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PCX, PSD, TGA, TIFF, WMF, WBMP, XPM, XBM, and CUR formats into Windows icons. A user can add files and folders from Windows Explorer or other file shells using drag and drop. A user also can paste bitmaps from the clipboard and change color resolution and size to create customized icons. It is possible to convert 256-color icons into True Color icons and vice versa.
This lightweight application has wizard and command line interfaces that make it simple to process multiple files at once. Any to Icon supports batch conversion, which means that user can convert several images to icons at the same time. The configuration screen enables a user to choose from multiple predefined icon sizes, with a dedicated custom field to allow user input its very own width and height. A user can zoom or shrink images to fit, constrain proportions or smooth resamples. Furthermore, there are multiple color depth modes available, including 256 colors and True Color.
Another good thing about Any to Icon is that it supports transparency too, which is quite an essential feature for the creation of a professional-looking icon. The conversion engine is high-speed and has a minimum footprint on hardware resources, regardless of the Windows versions. Any to Icon supports a long list of formats, including BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, PSD, TIF, EMF, EXE, DLL, SCR, NIL, ICO, and CUR. Also, the user can split icon libraries into individual icons. Any to Icon allows a user to extract images from folders and libraries and place them into the directory of user choice.
Any to Icon is one of the fastest and most effective ways to convert a photo to a Windows icon. It provides a very easy to use interface and a decent amount of configuration options to become an appropriate tool for both beginners and those more experienced.
