Locked Any idea why "can't install on Windows 10..." ??

Hi -
I recently installed Windows 10 19h1 1903.18362.86 Version en-us April 2019 (x64) [4in1]-=Preactivated=- now I seem to get this message when I try to install new software....

"...Can't install on Windows 10....."

Any idea why this is happening ? I am logged in as administrator and have all permission's. It only appears on "some" install's I do, not all.

@Thibor69 I am not using v1903 yet. Waiting for RTM to be released. It's quite possible some software won't be compatible yet. Software needs to be updated along with Windows. Idk..... Just my thoughts.

Mmmm yes it does seem to be a 1903 issue .... any work around from anyone here ??? I am trying to install McAfee Endpoint Security ( from this site here ) but just complains it can not be installed on Windows 10.

To save you some problems, I would install the last RTM, ie: Version 1809, until 1903 becomes a stable RTM. Because as @Mr. Spacely said, not all software is compatible with 1903 yet and won't work right. There is no known workaround for it at the time, until it's updated to RTM status.

I have 1903 on all my 6 systems, no issues... are you getting that error during install or after install, using usb or dvd to install?

It's for file ownership premissions maybe it will help

Hi -
Well the error pops up after I approve AUTH and then I click on Setup.exe. It wont install / setup a few different apps, but the one I really need is McAfee Endpoint and it just wont allow me to instal it.. The program's are on my HD main partition (c drive).

Buddy, obviously it's not gonna work at this point. Get another AV until McAfee Endpoint is compatible with new version. There are so many to choose from and work well. I'm closing this and completed now. Good Luck....
