Hey guys,

Need help.......

My system is in No-boot

I had tried to perform an IN-Place upgrade and that failed giving some error (I did not make a note of it)
then I tried to perform custom install - it failed
Custom install was booting at time of login and reboots from the start (reboots to Windows logo and a loop over there )

Again I performed installation of OS Windows 7 by deleting the partition and create install - still stuck
it does not load the windows, it is stuck at a black screen, where it says PCI Device listing screen.

Would appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply,

The screen doesn't change from that as shared above.
However, I can try to get the log files, if someone can help me in the path and the name of the log file.

Just tried to reboot, goes to the menu windows recovery and after selecting start windows normally or safe mode, it goes to the next screen where I can see the Windows logo (starting windows ) then after a second it is back to start (rebooting to the bios start screen and loop)

wel when it gives that error you need to post that here :)
then we can look wat it is .
but we need the error code :)
I agree with you, as error code helps, but it is weired even I am not able to see any error code, it is a boot loop or something and not showing any error code to Google it also. :)

So i see the computer see your Hd (LRG,ATA 100, 160GB)
can you set the boot sequence that it start from usb ?

then plug in the usb with the windows version on it and start the install.
when that is not working then i think that you need to format the usb stick and place back the windows on the stick using RUFUS.

i think you have a crc error on the usb stick that makes that the computer can't read it.

Yes, I can boot fro USb,

Should I change the Boot sequence to
1. USB
2. HDD 1 (where the Windows 7 is )
3. HDD 2 (160Gb where its just a additional storage)

yes, otherwise the computer wil start looking on your C:\ for a OS , So you should change the startup setting to usb and start the installation from the windows usb :)
when that is not working then you need to start from scratch...

Ow i only see 1 HD primary Slave Disk . on that picture .
NOT 2.

Okay, I have tried twice to install the OS via USb (formated and have used both Rufus And Windows USB DVD tool)
the OS gets installed then reboots then this is what happens as shared the pics.

Looks like it is failing to configure the OS.
I will give it a try again.
Will download a new ISO from this site and use Rufus to install it.
and shall follow the same method, hope it works this time.
Fingers crossed.

I shall perform clean install.

wat i would do is :
try to burn a smal win10 on a dvd 4.7 GB big and,
install that one then we can see how it is from the usb :)
It can also be that there is something wrong with the usb stick.

i think you will find that you have corrupted the MBR boot block also looking at the pictures you have you're hard drive set as slave when it should be master which will also stop windows from booting

I guess, I have no DVD's here, I will try to look for it and see if I can find it.
and by the way will it support Windows 10?
specs are:-
Core2duo E4500 2.2GHZ
4gb DDR 2 Ram
Bios version 2007
Gigabyte Ga 946 gmx s2 mother board

I know it is an old build, but I like it as it has served my purpose.

i think you will find that you have corrupted the MBR boot block also looking at the pictures you have you're hard drive set as slave when it should be master which will also stop windows from booting

I have 2 hard drives,

1. is IDE, set as slave (160gb as my add on storage)
2. is the Sata one which is of 1TB which is my primary hdd and runs OS

Hence the slave drive is the add on storage.

Will performing boot rec commands help fix MBR?
