Excel File Xlsx And Pdf File Not Allow To Open

Hi There ,
Seek for urgent help as I have excel file and pdf same error message appear when open as below . Any solution for below error to recover the file ? Appreciated in advance for any input . Thanks .

Error message :-
Excel cannot open the file 'CONFIRMATION OF EMPLOYMENT '.xlsx because the file format or file extension is not valid.Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file .

If File Recovery mode doesn't start, try using this manual process to recover your workbook:

1. Click File > Open.
2. Click the location and folder that contains the corrupted workbook.
3. In the Open dialog box, select the corrupted workbook.
4. Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair.
