This program can search with any criteria you give. Above all: it scans files for their content. You can search for multiple phrases in any desired combination using logical operators (and/or / not).
It will find contents in almost any file format, even when packed with ZIP, CAB, mail attachments, and even PDF. It only has to pass on full text retrieval inside bitmaps (i.e., scanned documents) or mails stored in client databases.

Absolutely fantastic search. I am finding all sorts of files I never thought I would see again. It is a lot of fun to check out what Fix-It can do.. My default viewer is Xnview which allows a comment in an image. So I put Tag: Kitty (my dog's name) then saved the image. Then I searched for Tag and got a whole list. I told it to search again within those results for tag: Kitty and it found it. A search can be saved in File-It's own default extension and opened for further use. A search can also be saved as several formats. Any item in the search can be viewed with File-It's own default viewer. I am amazed at what this neat utility can do.
