and see if you can find any similarities between your report and what is stated in the thread.Sadly with Virustotal, almost anything related to tools that make a paid software "free" for us, are reported as viruses. One indication is when you check some of the names of the report.

Let alone the fact that the reputable antiviruses state it's clean but the not-so-known ones find it as a generic_something_something. You can use a VM to self-test and scan, or a sandbox if you want to be more reassured. Not saying it isn't a virus, not saying it is, but what I am saying is we should be more careful before we scream "virus".
I believe you did it with good intentions and I thank you for warning the community and hope that the above thread will help you and others understand better.
