== Story ==
So I wanted to get a version of Office to work under WINE on Linux. I do use OnlyOffice, but I had requirement of MS Excel. I believed Office 2003/2007 would have greater compatibility than say 2016, so I searched for Standard Editions (only Word-Excel-PPT). I did find "super lite" versions (I think some of them are posted here too), but they had many functionalities removed to achieve that size (for example macros in excel). This is a lite, but fully featured pre-treated edition I found, almost all the links for this are dead and this thread is pretty much the only source for this now, so in addition to my usage I thought I'd post it here for "archival" reasons (and also if someone happens to have requirement of this ancient software)

Hmm, I have repacks of those office versions readily available, you could select to install only word and excel... will have to look for portable editions though. If you're interested I can post the repacks

Only Portable (Full Featured Word n Excel) will do.
Free Web version (365) is stripped off many useful features n functions.

Free Web version (365) is stripped off many useful features n functions.

Found older portable editions (2007), but not in english, in russian... good for you if you speak it
I will try to look for eng versions, I too am interested in portable office apps
