Hi I would like to add my 50C worth here, I installed this on a windows 2021 server in a VM, using VMware desktop. Now before i start install the Qinstall file is flagged as a virus, so i turned off the AVAn adware named Advanced Windows Manager was installed after installing this program. OP says it's false positive but it's literally there named installer.exe (Office installer is OInstaller.exe) VirusTotal report of Installer is attached. This is not false positive, you can search Advanced Windows Manager on google and you'll know it's an adware.
Another user faced same issue and was told it's false positive, that's not true. You can see for yourself.
Why it's there in first place, that's the only thing I'm trying to figure out. It'll automatically install itself as you opein OInstaller, I'm not sure how but a folder will be created in program files and after that it'll show up in task manager with not only one process but 4-5 process, I ended 4 processes before taking screenshot because I was trying to delete the folder and it said it's open, than I thought of taking screenshot for proof that's why only one process is showing.Hi I would like to add my 50C worth here, I installed this on a windows 2021 server in a VM, using VMware desktop. 1. I have the files in this first slide and they match the details
2. I don't have any where in Startup, Task Manager or services the the Advanced Windows manager showing
3.The file installer seem to delete without any issue but Microsoft does flag the AWM as a virus
4. I am wondering then what is putting the the AWM in to the running task.
5. I will coause as i am a dick head, have to reinstall again and run the files to see what it does, but not touching the file and deleteing it does not add any Maleware to the system.
Update: the AWM can not be installed on a virtual machine so it says and kicks out
Thank you for the info buddyAs the latest replies have posted, I have also found that Advanced Windows Manager is running in the background here after the install.
The installer as shown in the screenshots byYou must be registered for see linksat "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office 2021 LTSC Professional Plus\" is there. If you right click the background process and select open file location you can run the uninstaller to get rid of it then delete the AWM folder, I had to kill the processes too in order for it to all gone as there are like 5-6 of them running.
In looking up more information on this program you can find that Advanced Windows Manager is appeared to be made by: Microleaves LTD. From all accounts that I can tell it's adware just asYou must be registered for see linksdiscussed and you can see further proof of that in Virustotal and googling.
Additional testing does show that it doesn't install on a VM and appears to only install on a physical device for me. All in all, the office products work great and removing the adware afterwards is pretty easy but still annoying that it was there in the first place. It's definitely not a false positive this looks to be bundled into the Oinstaller.
It won't know anythingHey,
could you explain me is it safe to sing in to this pirated version of Office and work in collaboration? Microsoft will know that it is pirated version or not?
What do you mean if its require internet? Is this requires internet or its offline ?
