They should work.

Unfortunately not. I tried different options, but I always have this yellow bar under the options ribbon with information about buying a legal copy.

What yellow bar give a screenshot. You are talking without details and we must understand your problem.
You are the first who mention you have problem and there are 64 seeders someone of them maybe have installed and activated the program.
Give more details or wait for the Author's answer.

This is an example photo from the Internet, but I had exactly bar like this informing me that my copy of MSO is illegal and that I should buy the original license.

Now I clicked "Force Remove Office" to remove the program and clean up any leftovers from previous installations. I tried another install:

And when it was done, I clicked "Activate Office":

Everything seemed to be as it should be:

But unfortunately not. Now I get this message:

That means: "
Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 Preview has expired. Most Word features have been disabled. Contact your administrator or support for an updated version of Office."

I can't do anything. All tools and writing are blocked:
