Suspicious OfficeC2RClient.exe in my Network Activity

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if this is a suspicious activity?

In my Resource Monitor Tool via Windows task manager, I have OfficeC2RClient.exe as an address destination.

I do not have even an office 365 installed. Only MS Home and Business 2016 that is not even cracked.

I already searched for OfficeC2RClient.exe in all of my drives, hidden or not and it does not exist.

It is just weird because I do have the same home and business 2016 installed on my laptop yet I do not have OfficeC2RClient.exe running as an address destination from my other applications such as bittorrent,teamviewer, zerotioer, firefox etc...

I decided to reformat my OS, and I just installed my essential applications such as web browsers, teamviewer, onedrive, MS Office Home and Business 2016 etc. Then QBittorrent and Total Commander UP.

So far I still see no "OfficeC2RClient.exe" on my network activity.

No, Just the MS Office 2016 Home and Business installed but I did not activate it, since all I get is the annoying "not activated" dialogue but I still get to use the basic features.

Just found out the cause. It's after I installed Photoshop 2024.

I thought the malware would unlikely be removed by just simply uninstalling the program but hey, luckily it does and it's gone.

I guess by simply uninstalling photoshop 2024, the malicious file will be gone.

I suggest you guys check your network activity as well.

Probably the version you have downloaded for photoshop had a malware then.
I always had photoshop installed in my system without such problem.
