PDF Unlocker is a simple tool that allows a user to quickly remove the restrictions from a Portable Document Format (PDF) file. It is designed to grant user access to all the available content without having to know the password that enforces the limitations. The tool aims to help a user access the full content of the PDF file in order to extract quotes, to print certain pages for its presentations or to make annotations. It features a simple interface that allows a user to select the file and to view the restrictions before attempting to remove them.
Although the program usage does not require previous experience and is quite intuitive, the package also includes a documentation with screenshots that presents all the steps. The application successfully removed the restrictions from the files without damaging the content. The output file is saved instantly and the program requires insignificant resources to export the unlocked PDF.
The program usage can generate some copyright infringement issues when used to unlock and share content without having the proper authorization. However, it can be a very useful tool for the users who need to access a restricted document when they have forgot the password.
Unlike its name suggests, the application is designed only to remove the editing or printing limitations and not to retrieve or delete the access password. However, a user can disable the restrictions from a password-protected file by entering the access password. PDF Unlocker allows a user to by-pass the restrictions from a PDF document with minimum effort and can be helpful when a user need to print or edit its content.

OS: Microsoft Windows® Vista, Windows® 7, Windows® 8, Windows® 8.1, Windows® 10 (both 32 & 64-bit);
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo CPU E4600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39GHz Processor;
RAM: Minimum 4 GB RAM;
Hard Disk Space: 100 MB of free hard disk space;
If users are using Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, then launch the tool as "Run as Administrator";
Microsoft .NET framework 4.5 or above should be installed.
