I used uTorrent to completely download and seed a file.

Then I stopped seeding said file, changed its status from 'Seeding' to 'Finished' in uTorrent.
My intention is to seed the same file using Tixati instead of uTorrent.

So I added said torrent file in Tixati under its 'Create New Seed' tab. And copy/pasted
TeamOS tracker URLs under Trackers tab.

Tixati took up the seed but remained at standstill with notice of error:

"Tracker failed with reason: unregistered torrent pass - Retry in ?mins:secs"

Please see attached cutout from Tixati showing such error message. (sorry, I got lost
figuring out how to paste image here)

To sum it up, how do I properly transfer seeding of torrent file from uTorrent to Tixati?

Thank you all for helping.

FYI, ToS considered as private tracker.
Please Do NOT add tracker url under trackers tab on private tracker.
Instead, redownload that .torrent from here and then add it into tixati.

Redownload .torrent -> add it into tixati -> point into the right path.

I Googled "transfer utorrent torrents to tixati" and got lots of results.
Some of them seem to contain step by step instructions.
I don't know which results are the best because I don't use Tixati.

thank you choli for your early response.

i think i got your point, that is, i need to download in tixati so i can seed the same file in tixati.

i was hoping for something short of redownloading the exact same file i already have, like
maybe applying trick settings to tixati?

appreciate your help, choli.

@canton, 2 things:
1) here we help, we guide the user, you have to put a little work on your part, DO NOT be lazy and do what CHUCK advises: search in GOOGLE and try, try and try again 100 times.
2) DO NOT write to the thread consecutively (thread bump) is expressly prohibited by the rules.
"A Thread Bump is the act of adding a new message or post to a particular thread/discussion in order to return it to the top of the thread/discussion list."

I just learned that my previous post was deleted for reason of 'consecutive posts' or
'thread bump'.

I take this as instructional so I would ask how I should have proceeded properly.

But first bear with me pointing out the following:

a. In my original post you can see that I attempted but failed to attach an
image pertinent to my issue; posting image here being new to me.
b. Since I believe it is important that I complete my o.p., I searched around
on how image posting is done. I learned first time the need to link to an
external image hosting site.
c. That makes for 2 important reasons to post *early* this morning:
1. To finally be able to supply the missing image in o.p. yesterday.
2. To see if my new understanding of image posting works.
d. The consecutive posts involved one posted last night and the other this
morning- quite a distance by my reckoning. I admit inattention as to any
intervening posts but deny deliberate intention to bump up my thread.

So, with above laid out, how should I have proceeded without my post being
deleted?

Thank you.

No. You don't need to redownload the file.
All you need to do is redownload the .torrent file.
And then add .torrent (you previously downloaded) into tixati.
Point into the right path for reseed your files.
Done.

yes this one works, i changed my torrent client with this method few days ago.
@canton there's no need to download files again just follow the method @choli said.

Just redownload .torrent file of torrents you want to seed or you have downloaded before,
Now add them to your torrent client(utorrent, qbittorrent, etc...) but set the same download path where your old downloaded files are present.
That's it, now automatically it will start rechecking for already downloaded files and then seeding.

@choli, @Cypher007,
Thank you both.

I got it.

All I needed is to set in Tixati the same download locations as set in my
active uTorrent.

And since uTorrent already holds a separate folder in my PC containing
.torrent files associated with all my downloads, I find no need to redownload
linked .torrent files.

Now I can seed my stored giga gigabytes of torrents via a different client.
What a relief!

Great help @choli, @Cypher007! Thanks for your patience and, if I may add,
your newbie friendlier words.

Post Script:
My issue is cleared, am not posting further. Administrators may see it fit to close thread. Thanks.
