Video Thumbnails Maker by Scorp allows user to make thumbnails images (caps, previews) from locally-stored or online-hosted video files. The utility can be used for home-video cataloging and for network video sharing support. Supports of the batch processing of videofiles. Supports of practically any videos-formats (even MP4, MKV, MOV, QT, FLV, SWF, RM if user have appropriate codecs).

Video Thumbnails Maker is a helpful application for creating video thumbnails, highlighting screen lists, static frames from user's video, or dynamic, short preview animations, with or without sound (GIFs). It is a small application that works well, does not lag, and, fortunately, makes it really easy to work with multiple files, at once. It offers the possibility to create screen lists from remote video files without having to physically download them (via the URL insertion function). Also, user can export data about audio/video in CSV, XML, or VVT formats, or add custom comments to its screen lists.

A minus of this program is the fact that it is not quite intuitive. So, unless user have previously worked with a similar application and know exactly what are looking for and what could be doing with it, the interface is a bit difficult to navigate. Video Thumbnails Maker is a good tool with a large set of features. Not only does it offers a vast set of options, but it also allows user to customize its output files and the entire sampling process to a large degree.

Supports batch processing of video files;
Supports practically any video format (even MOV, QT, FLV, SWF, RM if user have the appropriate codecs);
Pause/continue or stop the active job at any moment;
Import and export option presets;
Option preset file format (*.VTM). After you run the preset, the program is automatically opened with the imported tuning;
Transform TV speakers into a real stereo system. Home theater PCs can connect directly to a TV via one HDMI cable. With DPS there is no need to add extra speakers;
Understand friends and family clearly by processing conversations in real time with the DPS Plugin. DPS works with Skype and most other chat programs;
Turn the volume down. Hear all of the detail without blasting your ears. For those with hearing difficulty, DPS technology can improve clarity;
Compensate for differences in volume between songs, during commercials or people speaking at different levels. This works for for streaming radio, podcasts and other online media sources;
Increase Bass Response, especially for smaller speakers;
Make own existing desktop speakers, laptop speakers or headphones sound like user spent big $$$ on the top-of-the-line models;
Process backing tracks for user live electronic, DJ or band show with the DPS Plug-In.

New: The "Delete broken Screenlists in the Output Folder" setting has been added under the "Save thumbnails to your Folder" setting. When enabled, VTM checks for broken Screenlists in the Output folder on the start of the job. The list of files to check is based on the current VTM settings:
- if VTX is enabled, then *.vtx are checked;
- if Classic is enabled, then *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp, *.png, *.tiff are checked;
- if Animation is enabled then *.mp4, *.webm, *.webp, *.ogv are checked.
New: The "Delete broken Screenlists in the Output Folder" setting has been added to the "Quick Settings" on the main window. The default value is OFF;
New: The "Show Remote Paths for Network Drives in the Folder Browser" setting has been added to the "Environment" -> "Appearance" window. The default value is ON;
Changed: The height of the main window has been increased;
Changed: Few cosmetic changes;
Fixed: Slow startup time when network drives are not available.
