I have zero issues opening file explorer with the task bar icon, and within the start menu's 'Windows System' Folder. And it opens to 'This PC' by default, when launched.
Start is back is not installed, I removed it because it was giving me issues, until an updated version becomes available that fixes the issues. Please read the description more carefully. You are free to install SiB if you like and try it out.
Windows Update service is included for downloading Apps from MS Store, automatically downloading drivers, and installing language packs, etc.
This Windows does NOT support downloading future security updates, and is intended to be that way, it would mess with things, SuperLite versions of Windows are typically designed this way, because people don't want MS screwing with their build. If you absolutely need the latest security updates in your version of Windows, please download another build. **Also, please read the description more carefully, and you wouldn't be asking this question, this information is already posted in it.
The 'Compact and SuperLite' version takes up significantly less HDD space than SuperLite version, other than that they both function the same, but the Compact and SuperLite version may also load faster on your PC, as the files being smaller typically take less time to read. Personally I use compact and SL, but the choice is yours
