This is the procedure to follow if you have the data from downloaded torrents but not the .torrent files.
Even if you have hit & run or ratio warnings, you are allowed to re-download the .torrent files of your earlier downloads.
NOTE: If your original download was made using a seedbox then you may not be able to download the torrent file again.
This is the process for qBittorrent.
This is for uTorrent version 2.2.1.
Other versions may be different. Don't ask me about other versions; I don't know.
The process for other torrent clients is probably similar.
Don't ask me about other clients; I don't know.
If anyone wants to contribute instructions for other clients then go ahead.
You write the instructions and I'll add them here.

This is the process for qBittorrent.
- In qBittorent Settings->Downloads
- Check "Do not start the download automatically".
- Set the "Default save path" to point to the folder where you have saved your downloads.
- Now download each .torrent file again.
- Right click the green torrent link.
- Save the .torrent file to your computer.
- Open the .torrent file in qBittorrent with File->Add torrent link .
In the add file dialog- Verify that the "Start torrent" option is NOT checked.
- Verify that the "Save at" option points to the folder where the downloaded data has already been saved.
- Click OK to add the torrent to qBittorrent.
- In the qBittorent torrent list, right click the added torrent and "Force recheck" it.
- If the recheck shows 100% completed then "Resume" the torrent and seeding will start without downloading the data again.
- If the recheck does not show 100% then "Save at" is probably pointing at the wrong folder.
- If you have modified the downloaded data in any way then "Force recheck" will fail and you will not be able to seed without downloading again.

- Check "Show a window that displays the files inside the torrent".
- In uTorrent Preferences->Directories
- Set the "Location of downloaded files" to point to the folder where you have saved your downloads.

- Click OK to add the torrent to uTorrent.
- In the uTorrent Downloading list, right click the added torrent and "Force Re-Check" it.
- If the recheck shows 100% Done then the torrent will be moved from "Downloading" to "Completed".
Right click and "Start" the torrent. Seeding will start without downloading the data again. - If the recheck does not show 100% Done then "Save at" is probably pointing at the wrong place.
