there is a way via gpedit but it's reset when windows does a cumulative update. there is also an app but alas when windos does a cumulative update it breaks the app.

It's good.But Sha-1 and Md5 hash not matching!!

i have never gone by sha-1 or md5 and never had any issue getting the actual files vs fake files.

o.k. thought i'd try one more google search and i found the following. i'm hoping it actually works.

rightclick pc
click properties
once open click advance system settings
select the hardware tab
click on device installation settings
tick no
save changes
click apply and ok if needed
exit pc properties
install your driver

ddu was what i was trying to think of earlier. unless they have done some improvements you can pretty much bet on the or shortly after the next win 10 cumulative update it will get disabled again.
